Your needs are as unique as you are. Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office, home, or another remote location.  It’s a locally managed and flexed informal discretionary arrangement.  As a minimum we’re all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons, on average three days per week.

Who we’re looking for:

  • Significant direct M&A experience in principal investing (corporate development or private equity), investment banking, or transaction services

  • Equity research, investment management, or management consulting also valued but secondary

  • Other non-M&A experience may be given consideration if directly relevant

  • Global mindset: Located in, and experience working in, key global M&A markets – London, New York, DC, Paris, Singapore, etc.

Required skillsets and characteristics:

  • Execution and project management – experience managing a project/deal team, coordinating activities, driving due diligence review and risk mitigation, coaching and guiding specialists (internal and external), delivering and supporting recommendations

  • Financial acumen – experience in and understanding of financial markets, financial modelling, valuation; basic knowledge of accounting

  • Investor mindset – experience in preparing and underwriting a business plan, key assumptions, valuation, investment proposals; ownership of the investment, delivery of business plan and exit

  • Integration and separation – experience in planning, managing and executing M&A integration and separation activities, including for joint ventures

  • Relationship management and origination – experience being market-facing, interacting with external parties (corporates, banks, consultants, PE funds/investors)

  • Business development mindset – proactive, extroverted style with a nose for deal-making and creativity/innovation to problem solving; hunter-mentality, pipeline management skills`

  • Passion for deal making and investing. Track record of completing large, complex and/or global M&A transactions

  • Internal stakeholder management – experience in influencing, advocating and presenting to senior level audiences within the organisation

  • Coaching and delegating – experience managing junior resources to deliver financial analysis and memos; oversight, guidance and development

Key accountabilities:

  • Execution and project management – managing a project/deal team, coordinating activities, driving due diligence review and risk mitigation, delivering and support recommendations

  • Relationship management and origination – interacting with external parties (corporates, banks, consultants, PE funds/investors) with a market-facing mindset

  • Internal stakeholder management – influencing, advocating and presenting to senior level audiences within the organisation

  • Coaching and delegating – experience managing junior resources (and internal execution specialists) to deliver analysis and presentations; oversight, guidance and development

Desired skillsets and characteristics :

  • Diversity of thought

  • Expertise in aerospace, defence, energy, infrastructure, industrial or other B2B sectors

  • International business exposure

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in business, finance, mathematics, economics. Engineering also considered if combined with MBA, CFA or equivalent finance training.

  • Any additional courses or training in negotiations, sales/business development, deal making, valuation, due diligence

  • MBA, CFA or ACA/CPA desirable
